If you have a house that’s a fixer-upper, you may have many projects to tackle. “Popcorn ceilings” are a style of drywall that has a bumpy texture resembling popcorn. It became popular in homes around the 1950s as it was believed to aid in noise reduction, but many people today are desperately trying to enhance their homes by getting rid of this outdated and unattractive style. Unfortunately, most say there’s really not a whole lot that can be done to remove it. That is, until one man discovered this shockingly easy method to get rid of the problem for good.
More recently, the brilliant innovators at Chopper’s Drywall have identified a solution to this frustrating ordeal. By developing a prototype of a vacuum able to suck up the ‘popcorn,’ this process has become relatively easy. The vacuum is simply held up to the ceiling, removing the annoying bumps, and pocketing them in the bag.
The short video below shows the vacuum in action.
